Class Descriptions
Acro
A fusion of dance and acrobatics that develops flexibility, balance, strength, and tumbling skills. Dancers safely learn tricks and transitions that complement their performance and stage presence.
Ballet
A dance form here at NJDTI that builds grace, poise, and strong technique. Ballet focuses on proper alignment, strength, and fluid movement, providing a strong foundation for all other dance styles.
Cheer
This class combines cheerleading motions, jumps, basic stunts, and dance technique. Great for building school spirit, teamwork, and energy, it’s perfect for dancers who love to cheer, chant, and move!
Combo Classes
This all-in-one class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of jazz, tap, ballet, and even funk in some classes! Dancers will build coordination, musicality, and technique in a fun, structured environment that keeps them moving and engaged.
Contemporary
This style focuses on versatility of movement, self-expression, and fluidity through a combination of classical ballet, lyrical, jazz, and modern dance.
Family & ME
Young dancers participate in this creative movement class alongside their caregiver while learning basic dance steps and terminology through songs, stories, and play. This class will build self-confidence to help dancers blossom into beautiful ballerinas!
Hip-Hop
A high-energy class that teaches rhythm, style, and personal expression through popular hip hop movement. Dancers develop coordination, confidence, and musicality in a dynamic and upbeat setting.
Jazz
A very energetic and expressive dance style that combines sharp, isolated movements with smooth transitions. Jazz builds rhythm, flexibility, and performance skills with fun, upbeat choreography.
Kidz Bop Combo
Get ready to dance, groove, and have a blast in our Kidz Bop Combo class! Dancers will learn jazz and tap basics to the beat of today’s favorite kid-friendly hits. This high-energy class builds rhythm, coordination, and confidence—all while keeping things fun and upbeat!
Leaps & Turns
A technique-focused class designed to strengthen jumps, turns, and overall control. Ideal for dancers looking to sharpen their performance skills and build clean, powerful movement.
Lyrical
A blend of ballet and jazz, lyrical focuses on storytelling through movement. Dancers learn to express emotions through graceful, flowing choreography set to meaningful music.
Musical Theatre
A fun and theatrical class that blends dance with acting and storytelling. Dancers will bring characters to life using expressive movement, facial expressions, and choreography inspired by Broadway musicals.
Prima Ballerina
More ballet for our little ballerinas! Dancers dig deeper and learn the fundamentals of ballet and are introduced to the barre!
Rising Stars
This is an introductory dance class designed to spark a love for movement. It incorporates elements of ballet and creative movement, focusing on basic steps, listening skills, and following directions. Dancers will be encouraged to imitate movements and express themselves through movement.
Tiny BLOOMERs
A magical beginner ballet class for our tiniest dancers at NJ Dance To Inspire! Tiny Bloomers introduces basic ballet steps, coordination, and creativity in a nurturing environment where little ballerinas can blossom and shine.

Our studio dress code helps us to eliminate distractions, keep dancers safe, and it increases focus!
Our dress code allows our dancers to get into the right mindset for a structured dance class!â €
The dress code applies to all dancers at our studio not just the competition team!
